Meeting of the deanery clergy 21-22 October 2011
Twenty one members of the clergy of the deanery of parishes in Great Britain and Ireland met for two days in London on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 October.
Staying overnight in the same accommodation allows our clergy to meet informally on the Friday evening. Read more »

Following the publication on the site "Let's talk about orthodoxy" hosted by the Diocese of Chersonese of the Moscow Patriarchate in France of a report that Father Nicolas Ozolin (son) would be appointed rector of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Nice, Archbishop Gabriel and the Diocesan administration wish to point out that they have received no official information about this matter. Communiqué from the Archdiocese on Archbishop Gabriel’s health
On January 27 Archbishop Gabriel underwent a surgical operation which had been planned for some time. He was released from hospital on 2 February and after a short convalescence resumed his duties at the headquarters of the Archdiocese on February 22. The operation went well, a lung tumour was removed, postoperative test results are satisfactory and doctors say they are confident. Read more »
Communiqué from the Diocesan Administration on the convalescence of Archbishop Gabriel.
Archbishop Gabriel left the hospital in Maastricht on Wednesday, February 2 in the morning, one day before the date of his official release. He is now resting in his house in Maastricht and will return to Paris at the end of his convalescence towards of the end of February.
He thanks with all his heart all those who supported and continue to support him by their prayers.
Here is a suggested petition to be included in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy:
"O Lord our God, we acknowledge the blessings that Thou hast bestowed upon thy servant, Archbishop Gabriel and whom Thou hast protected from any adverse event, we pray Thee, stretch out Thy mighty hand upon him that he may soon recover his health and grant him the grace to continue his episcopal service to the glory of Thy Holy Name and the building of Thy Holy Church, we earnestly, beseech Thee, hear us and have mercy on us. "

Press release from the Diocesan Administration
On Thursday January 27 Archbishop Gabriel underwent surgery at the Maastricht Hospital . The operation, which lasted two hours, went well. Archbishop Gabriel wishes to thank all those who supported him with their prayers.
